County Legislator Peter Harckham, who represents Mount Kisco and the surrounding towns, voted against and took a strong stand against large salary increases given to members of County Executive Rob Astorino’s administration. The raises were well over 10% of the county employees’ salary, after only a few months of work. George Oros, Astornio’s Chief of Staff, noted that County Executive Astorino had fewer employees and was saving the county money. This still does not justify such large salary increases.
County Legislator Harckham noted that such large raises for two political appointees is difficult to justify while many Westchester County residents are struggling. Thank you for County Legislator Harckham for sticking up for the taxpayers of Mount Kisco and Westchester County.
