Bedford Central School District Vote Today – May 18

On May 18th, district residents will vote on the proposed 2010-2011 Bedford Central School District budget. This $116,481,460 budget reflects a $1.7% or $1,946,338 increase from the current year’s budget and balances important educational programming while keeping tax increases low. Compared to the previous 10 years where the average tax levy increase was 6.90% and the average budget-to-budget increase was 6.44%, this budget recognizes the current economic environment. If this budget passes, Mount Kisco residents will have a 1.82% increase in their school taxes.

Running unopposed for a board seat is Mount Kisco resident Suzanne Grant.
