Lexington Avenue Construction and Traffic Congestion Start Today

Starting today, September 16, 2010, and lasting through the end of the year, Lexington Avenue will undergo repairs to the roadbed including drainage, curbing, milling and paving work. Construction is supposed to be limited to the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays. Improvements on this county-owned road were scheduled by the county and will be completed by Petrillo Contracting with direct oversight by the Westchester County Department of Public Works.

The road construction will call for lane closures. Petrillo Contracting will provide flagmen, hire police officers, when necessary, and also have digital traffic boards on both ends of Lexington Avenue advising motorists. If necessary, there will be posted detours.

Residents are asked to observe construction alerts throughout the project to receive the latest up to date information on construction schedules and delays. Sign up for the Village of Mount Kisco’s email notification system through mountkisco.org.
