In the last few days, polls have been released to show that there are tight races in elections that affect Mount Kisco.
In a poll released by the Westcheser County Association, both Congressman John Hall and challenger Nan Hayworth have 42% of the vote with 16% undecided.
In a poll conducted by Siena College, Michael Kaplowitz and Greg Ball were in a statistical dead heat. In the poll, Greg Ball had a 45% to 44% lead with the remainder undecided. While no one questions Greg Ball’s ability to excite a crowd, his rhetoric turns off other legislators that he needs to work with. As a result, he is unable to advance his initiatives which diminishes his effectiveness as a legislator.
There are no polls for the races in Mount Kisco but no candidate on the Democratic line has lost in Mount Kisco since J. Michael Cindrich lost to Patricia Reilly in 2001 in a mayoral race. This does not bode well for Pete DiChiara who is running on an independent line called the Kisco Action Party.
