Mt. Kisco Beautification Committee Does its Job Well

At a recent Village Board meeting, former Mayor Patricia Reilly made a presentation to Mount Kisco detailing the activities of the Mount Kisco Beautification Committee.  The Mount Kisco Beautification Committee has taken the initiative to both implement beautification projects in Mount Kisco and recognize the work of others.

Over the last several years, the Beautification Committee has designed and purchased welcome signs for the entrances to Mount Kisco, planned and raised funds for the town clock in Kirby Plaza and contributed a sun dial to the Mount Kisco Library’s butterfly garden.  Annually, the Beautification Committee coordinates a spring cleanup in Mount Kisco.  This year’s clean up was highlighted by a Cub Scout and Boy Scout project that cleared garbage, weeds and other debris from Flewellen Park.

The Beautification Committee also recognizes local business for their contributions to the community.  This year, one of the businesses they recognized was The Mount Kisco Coach Diner and its owner Frank Georgiou.

Thank you to the Beautification Committee for its service to Mount Kisco.
