Photos and Aftermath of Hurricane Irene in Mount Kisco

Please see the pictures below from Sunday morning in Mount Kisco:

Top Row: Flooding on South Moger and in Shoppers’ Park

Middle Row: 9/11 Memorial stands tall despite flooding; view of flooding behind library; flooding in front of American Legion

Bottom Row: Trees down at Hillside and Mountain that took down power; tree down in back yard on Croton Avenue; house on Willets Road escapes close call

In this time of emergency, many businesses are tyring to help local residents. Con Edison is distributing dry ice in the parking lot of the Mount Kisco train station from 10:00 am today. Starbucks was giving out free coffee.

If you are going to pick up dry ice in Mount Kisco, however, please put money in the meters. The Mount Kisco Parking Officers are ticketing all cars that do not pay the parking meters while picking up dry ice. Some things never change in Mount Kisco when there is no supervision and accountability of the “elected” officials.
