On October 9, 2014, the Village of Mount Kisco posted a job opening for a Parking Enforcement Officer with a salary of $35,000 to $40,000 (see link below). Of course, this position is available because of the second case of a PEO stealing thousands of dollars in quarters from Mount Kisco and under the nose of Mayor Cindrich.
In September, Jeff Daday admitted to taking $89,000 over five years emptying parking meters in Mount Kisco and depositing them at his account at People’s United Savings Bank on Moger Avenue in Mount Kisco. Didn’t that look suspicious?
Of course, in 2005, another officer, Jason Berke, a parking enforcement officer pleaded guilty to stealing $30,000 worth of coins (it was probably much more but $30,000 was part of the plea) cashing them in at Coinstar machines at supermarkets. Didn’t that look suspicious?
Luckily, we have many honest Parking Enforcement Officers in Mount Kisco. It appears to be easy to take quarters under the administration of Mayor Cindrich where there are very few permanent supervisory employees, including an interim police chief.
