Hopefully, by now, everyone has changed most of their clocks and are recovering from one less hour of sleep,
Fire departments, including the Mount Kisco Fire Department, urge residents to check and change their smoke and CO detector batteries as they change their clocks.
All residents should check their alarms to ensure their safety and save the fire departments from false alarms. False alarms not only strain the fire department’s resources but can cost residents thousands of dollars in fines. After one false alarm, residents can be charged as much as $500 for a false alarm.
