The Mount Kisco Diner, one of the landmark businesses in Mount Kisco, was mentioned in articles in the New York Daily News and the Journal News.
The New York Daily News noted Governor Cuomo’s love for the Mount Kisco Diner. When asked what his favorite food and restaurant were, the Governor offered “Anything on the menu at the Mount Kisco Diner.” It has been reported before that the Mount Kisco Diner is the Governor’s favorite local hangout. The Governor also noted that he is a Mets and Bon Jovi fan.
Recently, the Journal News touted the Mount Kisco Diner for one of its great soups. The Journal News praised the Mount Kisco Diner’s Organic Pumpkin Soup. The daily newspaper noted:
Imagine a warm spoonful of pumpkin pie — without the crust — and you have the essence of this tasty soup. The chef roasts fresh pumpkin to add depth of flavor along with a mix of organic vegetables, all pureed to a nice consistency. He never uses processed ingredients, and refrains from using dairy — but sometimes adds organic soymilk to smooth things out for the creamy soups. And here’s a bonus: The diner offers a half sandwich and fries with a bowl of soup any time of the day.
The Journal News also noted soups from two other restaurants in Mount Kisco, the Chicken & Dumpling Soup from Ladle of Love (see link on the right side of screen) in Mount Kisco and the Vegetarian Hot & Sour Soup from Oishii Asian Fusion (also linked on the right side of this screen) in Mount Kisco.
