Westchester County issued a report card for municipal recycling rates and Mount Kisco had the sixth highest recycling rate out of the thirty reporting municipalities. Recyclables (glass, plastic and metal) are picked up on Mondays for residents on a Monday-Thursday collection schedule and Tuesdays for residents on a Tuesday-Friday collection schedule. It makes it easier for collection if these items are brought to the curb.
Newspapers, Cardboard, Magazine & Junkmail are picked up for all residents on Wednesdays. These items must be brought to the curb.
