On Monday, October 18, at the Mount Kisco Village Board meeting, the Mount Kisco Police Department recognized and honored Det. Raul Fernandez for his service before his retirement in November.
Chief Anderson spoke highly of Fernandez’s work in Mount Kisco as a youth officer and detective. Chief Anderson praised Detective Fernandez’s “sincere interest in the well being of others”.
Unfortunately, Detective Fernandez’s retirement, on the heels of the retirement of Lieutenant Clavie, leaves the Mount Kisco Police Department with 28 active officers, 20% below its target of 35 officers.
The residents of the Village of Mount Kisco owe thanks to Detective Fernandez and wish him well on his future endeavors.
