Rory Silverman: Fox Lane Student of the Month for September

MountKiscoNews.com is proud to announce that Rory Silverman is the %kisco%mount kisco newsinaugural winner

of the Fox Lane Student of the Month award.  Rory excels in all areas: academics, school activities, community service and even athletics and band.

Rory is a member of the National Honor Society and has been consistently on the Honor Roll at Fox Lane High School taking many advanced placement classes.  In addition to studying Spanish in school, Rory studied Mandarin in an after-school program.

He has also been a leader at Fox Lane High School.  He is currently the Senior Class Student Government President.  Rory was also elected as the Junior Class Student Government President. 

For community service, Rory has donated time to the Guiding Eyes for the Blind and Mount Kisco Beautification Committee.  He has also participated in Outward Bound Expeditions.

Rory has participated on the Fox Lane Football team for three years but has concentrated more of his time on musical pursuits.  He plays trumpet and tuba in the Fox Lane Jazz Band, Fox Lane Winds Ensemble and Symphonic Band.  Rory also plays in the Fox Lane Pep Band for basketball games.
